Girlfriend Getaway

Karen and Kaye met up with me in Duluth last weekend to have some much needed girl time. We had a chance to talk, laugh, shop, eat and (most importantly) celebrate Karen's birthday! We accidentally found the Rose Garden on Saturday. For lunch we dined at a great Mexican restaurant ("yay" for chips with spinach/artichoke dip!), and then we dedicated the rest of our day to the mall area. We made it our ambition to find the ugliest shoe in the mall (pictured at the bottom), which Kaye had the privilege of trying on. Daniel was at my mom's house while we gallivanted around town, but he cherished any time he could get in with his "aunties" (he's spent the first part of this week whining for them) I'm so appreciative of my girlfriends and know that I'm incredibly blessed to have most of them living close to me.
