Are We Crazy?

Last Saturday, I had the itch to just get out of the house and do something. So I called up Mel and convinced her to take a trip to PR with me. One would think we would be able to handle a short car ride with 3 kids, but by the time we were 15 min. down the road, everyone was screaming (including us! j/k). Bennett, being the tender spirited one, reacted every time Danny would lean over and say "No!" (which is his all-time favorite word). Pretty soon Silas was wailing too because of all the commotion. It was beautiful! At this point we were wondering, "What were we thinking?"
We picked up Kaye on the way and spent an hour shopping at a couple cute shops there (mental note: Don't take your kids with you to cute boutiques that you really want to look through). They didn't do too bad, but within 5 min. Daniel and Bennett were having races up and down the aisles of a decorating store. We then went to a thrift store, which had a goldmine of goodies. We all found a few treasures. We decided after our 2 short stops, that the boys had had enough, so we went to a park where we had a picnic and played on the playground and in the river. After our mini-adventure, I think we all slept well that night. Maybe next time we'll stick closer to home. :)
