A "Grand" and "Great" Visit!

The three of us took a mini-break at the beginning of the week and went to visit my parents. My grandparents from the Twin Cities were able to drive up while we were there as well. It was encouraging to be with my family and and the weather was absolutely gorgeous while we were there.
Matt and I had the rare treat of being able to go out on the town by ourselves. We both were able to indulge a few of our passions: coffee, clothes, and books. I really need to learn how to reign Matt in with his clothing fetish...just kidding. I enjoyed raiding Old Navy and Matt was able to spend some quality time at Barnes and Noble. We even were able to go out to eat for lunch! We felt quite spoiled.

This is what my mom called "The Parachute Pose."
It's definitely time for a larger carrier.

I'm so glad you got to have some fun time as a couple and some fun family time together! It's nice when grandparents help out.

Daniel is soooo adorable! I love his spunk! I know exactly how you feel Mara with those "rough days." No one can possibly understand unless they too have a strong-willed child in the late infant-toddler years that they are dealing with day in and day out. Maybe you will be blessed like us and get a super easy child the second time. But as for our tough-as-nails firstborns, they will be great LEADERS someday!!!!
