I was reminded today of a funny story, after my son got into my envelope stickers. Two years ago when I worked at a preschool, I had a 3 year old student from India that was named after Hare Krishna. For one of our craft projects, we asked parents to bring in baby photos. His was priceless! His mother explained that her and her husband were sad that they hadn't had a daughter. So in the posed picture of him and his older brother, they had decided to dress Hare up as a little girl. They didn't skimp on any of the details...his hair was beautifully done, his sari was perfectly placed, and the bindi on the forehead added the final touch. Poor kid...he'll be taunted because of that photo for years to come. Daniel, I solemnly swear I will never do that to you!

My parents did this to my youngest brother! It was only because at the ultrasound they were told he was a girl and so they had my seamstress grandma make him a beautiful little red Christmas since he was due around Christmas. When he turned out to be a boy, they were surprised and decided to take one pic of him in his beautiful dress before passing it on to a cousin!
Ha! I love it. The closest my brother got to that was having to wear tights with his Christmas outfit.
Can't wait to see you all soon!
love ya!
