A Week in the Cities

This summer Matt began taking courses through Bethel Seminary's In-Ministry program. For the next few years, he'll be completing his Master's of Divinity mostly by correspondence; however, almost every quarter, he'll be required to have a week of classes on campus. So this past week was his first time having "intensives" at Bethel. Not only was he sitting in on lectures every day, we squeezed in time with lots of friends and family. Poor guy, he was pooped by the end of the week! We did have fun though.

Anna came to see us for 24 hours. What a treat.

We had a few muggy days while we were there. So one afternoon I pulled out one of my grandpa's coolers and let Daniel "swim" in it for an hour. He had a blast!

We visited Como Zoo with the Horton's.
What a great place to take kids...and its free!
This is my favorite animal there, the sloth.

We went to a creamery after our visit to the zoo. The boys were mesmerized with all the buttons on the jukebox there.

We had a chance to also see my cousin Sara and her husband Erik. We were able to meet their little boy, Evan, who is 5 1/2 months old and weighs more than Daniel! What a chunky hunk.

I love the rolls! Michelin baby!
We met up with Miss Sara T. at a local Starbucks.

We also had dinner with Gma Pat and Gpa Gordon. Daniel had fun exploring all the drawers in their kitchen.

We were blessed that we were able to stay with my grandparents all week. Grandma and I were so worn out with chasing Daniel all over her home. She told me towards the end of the week, "I'll be praying for you." Gma, thanks for putting up with us!

I'm blown away by how good God has been to us. I praise him for the friends and family we have, for the opportunity for Matt to finish his degree, and for the cozy apartment and bed that we returned home to.
