First Family Vacation

We took our first overnight with the kids a couple of weeks ago. We found a lodge on the North Shore that had really great rates for this time of year (about 1/2 the price of their normal room rate!). My expectations were pretty low for the trip and anticipated that it would be chaotic with the kids. I was pleasantly surprised! We had a great time and were one of the only guests in the whole lodge. We had a blast in the pool, watched movies by our fireplace, and enjoyed the view of gorgeous Lake Superior. The following morning, we even were able to swing in to Gooseberry Falls, which is gorgeous this time of year with it's ice formations! All in all, we had an enjoyable first vacation. Now to try out camping!

Vacations are fun! Can't wait until we can do this sometime again too! We went to the "big city" =) of Casper once with two kids and it was fun part of the time, but diarrhea in the hot tub from one child and staying up all night and fussing and crying incessantly made it not so pleasant!
