Happy Birthday, Danny!
On Daniel's actual b-day, we'll be on our way to seminary for Matt's intensives. So on the 4th of July we decided to turn our cookout into a birthday party as well. Matt's parents came and Anna decided to make Daniel an Elmo birthday cake. I wasn't sure what Daniel would think of his favorite Sesame Street character being cut up into pieces, but I thought it sounded like a creative feat. Anna did a fabulous job of making the cake and Daniel didn't consider the cutting of the cake the murder of Elmo. The frosting was potently red. All of our lips and mouths were very rosy for the rest of the evening. It was such a fun night.
