While Matt was in the midst of another week of "Intensives" at seminary, Daniel and I were able to spend some time at my grandparent's home. At the beginning of the week we had beautiful weather with temperatures in the 70's. We spent most of our time outside. My grandparents live on a sparsely populated island near the Mississippi River. During one of our hikes, I took this set of photos. I was struck by the beauty around me during our walk, so I thought I'd try to capture it as best I could. I felt this renewed sense of God's power, care, and creativity and thought I'd share some thoughts and photos with you.

When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble."

"The earth is the LORD's and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it;
for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters."

Matthew 5:6
" The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands."
Psalm 19:1
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"

"Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth."
Psalm 46:10
